Expo brings more opportunities to Jinan and East Asian countries

The 2019 East Asia Exposition was held in Jinan, capital city of East China's Shandong province on July 5, drawing the participation of more than 500 companies from 56 countries and regions.

With its focus on opening-up, cooperation and mutual benefit, the expo aims to bring more opportunities for Shandong and East Asian countries to trade and do business with each other. Organizers said it will further promote Jinan's opening up to international markets.

This year's expo, covering an exhibition area of 26,000 square meters, set up 24 pavilions with 800 standard stalls, displaying as many as 10,000 varieties of products, ranging from luxury jewelry to daily items such as wine, cosmetics, electronics and food.

An extraordinary range of wares such as amber and ceramics from Poland, Russian honey, Turkish olive oil and chocolate from Belgium are now gathered at the European exhibition area.

The South Korean and Japanese exhibition area boasts a rich variety of cosmetics, food and electronic products that is attracting throngs of visitors.

The event has also offered separate exhibition areas for India, Brazil, Vietnam, Malaysia, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka  as well as China's Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. The expo will wrap up on July 7.
