JINAN -- East China's Shandong province has identified 105 enterprises that have a history of more than 100 years, according to the provincial department of commerce.

"The enterprises, including Tsingtao Brewery and Yutang Pickled Vegetables, had a total revenue of 42.2 billion yuan ($6.1 billion) in 2018," said Wang Hongping, deputy head of the department.

There are 346 time-honored enterprises that have a history of 96 years on average, with total revenue of 198.6 billion yuan in 2018, according to a report released by the provincial department of commerce and the association of time-honored enterprises.

"Some of the enterprises, like Tsingtao Brewery, are famous both at home and abroad," Wang added.

Half of the time-honored enterprises in the province started an e-commerce business.
