Shandong promotes tourism in Hong Kong

Print PrintThe Shandong provincial department of culture and tourism hosted a tourism marketing conference on Dec 6 in Hong Kong in a bid to promote cooperation with Hong Kong in culture and tourism sectors.
Wang Lei, Party secretary and director of the Shandong culture and tourism department, delivered a speech at the conference.
Wang said that Shandong will intensify efforts to attract Hong Kong investment in the province's cultural and tourism projects, providing preferential policies and high-quality government services.
She added that Shandong will also continue to advance overseas tourism marketing cooperation and the construction of a system generating cooperative partnerships.
The Shandong provincial department of culture and tourism signed a cooperation agreement with the Shandong-Hong Kong Enterprise Investment and Financing Association.
The two sides will join hands to cultivate high-quality tourism industry and increase Shandong tourism's international profile.
Zhang Mingchi, vice director of Shandong provincial culture and tourism department, recommended the province's major tourism projects.
"Friendly Shandong", one of the province's most prominent tourism brands, was introduced at the conference.
The Shandong provincial department of culture and tourism also signed cooperation agreements with the Hong Kong Confucian Academy and local travel agencies and organizations to promote Shandong tourism products.
The conference was part of the 2018 (Hong Kong) Shandong Week, a large-scale campaign to promote Shandong's various business sectors and attract Hong Kong investment.
