Hisense, one of a leading Chinese home appliance and electronics maker, brought its medical products to the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA 2018), which kicked off in Chicago on Nov 25.

At this year's annual RSNA meeting, Hisense showed off its latest products and technology, such as medical diagnostic displays, group consultation medical displays, computer aided surgery systems and surgical intelligent display systems.

As a leader in the global television industry, Hisense has been focusing on the medical equipment industry for over four years, and has made great achievements in medical radiography and digital medicine.

The company's products on display gained much attention at the event with its high resolution, high gray scale and high brightness. They also mirror the scientific and technological innovation in China's high-end medical equipment industry.

According to Hisense, these products have been widely used in orthopaedics, chest radiography or breast radio-diagnosis, and served as a main force in China's medical assistance projects in Kenya this year.

The company's CAS and SID are two highlights of them. Many experts attending the conference tried their hands on them at the event. As the most technologically creative devices in medical field, they have been put into operation in Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University, Beijing 301 Hospital and other top 3A-grade hospitals in China.

The CAS system is developed jointly by Hisense and the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University. It can transform the CT data of abdominal cavity and thoracic cavity of patients, such as liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidney and lung, into 3D digital images, presenting organs, tumors and intra-organ vascular system, and helping surgeons to perform precise surgery through operation planning, operation simulation and operation evaluation.

Relying on the rich experience and advanced display technology, Hisense Medical has more than 20 kinds of medical display products, such as operating room display and endoscope display, as well as innovative system solutions such as remote consultation and digital surgery, which have entered hundreds of third-level hospitals across China.

Known as the "weathervane" in the radiology field, the meeting attracted more than 500,000 radiologists and medical professionals from all over the world. The CT, MRI, X-ray, nuclear magnetic resonance and color Doppler ultrasound were displayed during the six-day event.
