China's visa offices abroad will resume issuing all types of visas to foreigners on Wednesday to facilitate cross-border travels.
High-level foreign talents which meet the relevant requirements can apply for an R visa that allows them to stay in Jinan for 180 days at a time. They can also apply for a foreign residence certificate that is valid for two to five years.
China will strengthen border entry and exit control to prevent the import of COVID-19 cases, an official of the National Immigration Administration said on Wednesday.
An online English-language service offering information on immigration services along with a telephone hotline officially started operations on April 8.
Multiple measures will be adopted to assist elderly people applying for exit and entry documents and help them address difficulties they face in using information technology.
