As more people take advantage of China's high-speed railways, hotel brands nationwide are focusing more attention on a shift in consumer demand.

The Hilton Garden Inn brand, under one of the world's leading hospitality companies, is embracing a new development strategy in cities along high-speed railway lines, offering affordable accommodation and modern amenities for business and leisure guests.

Hilton Garden Inn Zibo Zhangdian is located in the central business district of Zibo, a former industrial hub in East China's Shandong province that has experienced a surge in popularity because of its fabled barbecue restaurant culture. In recent years the city has promoted tourism, exhibitions and light industry to inject vitality into the local economy. The hotel is convenient to business and travel guests as it is close to Zibo's International Convention and Exhibition Center, railway station and high-speed railway station.

The Hilton Garden Inn Zibo Zhangdian has 210 well-appointed rooms with large windows, each with an air humidifier and Slumberland mattress. There is also a 24-hour gym and four conference rooms to meet the needs of business meetings and other activities.

About a 10-minute walk from the hotel is a famous food street featuring barbecue restaurants that have been operating for 30 years. Customers sit outdoors at small square tables with stoves heated by hot coals, wrapping the barbecued meat in wheat pancakes.

The hotel restaurant provides local breakfast, and guests can plan an energetic trip to Zhoucun Ancient Village to experience intangible cultural heritage, such as on-site baking of Zhoucun pancakes and viewing ancient promissory notes.

Foodies interested in authentic Shandong cuisine can also sample local flavors, such as Boshan dishes and popular barbecues. In the bustling atmosphere of Zibo, visitors will discover the fascinating history and warmth of this newly popular destination.

The Zhongshuge and Haidai Pavilion, another must-see local landmark, is also close to the hotel.

As the weeklong National Day holiday in October draws closer, demand for travel is set to surge — but the Hilton Garden Inn properties have eased travel for visitors and boosted transport capacity and efficiency, particularly in key tourism cities.

"Travelers choosing to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn view the world in a positive light and have the curiosity to explore it from a place of comfort," said Chen Zhenguang, the Zibo hotel's general manager.

"They are looking to minimize stress when traveling while seeking authenticity in their experiences," Chen said.

Inspired by global consumer insights, Hilton is dedicated to proving the stay is the crucial element that can make or break any trip through its "It Matters Where You Stay" advertising campaign and global brand platform: "Hilton. For the Stay".

"Whether it's a transportation hub, popular destination for tourism, or first-tier city, Hilton Garden Inn is there," Chen said.

Adjacent to the high-speed rail station, Hilton Garden Inn Zibo Zhangdian boasts convenient facilities, exquisite decoration, modern room design and a relaxed, joyful atmosphere. It provides high-end focused services that meet the real needs of guests and is deeply loved by business and leisure travelers, Chen said.

Travelers can book rooms at hgi.com or through the Hilton Honors app. Hilton Honors members who book directly will have access to instant benefits.

As one of the fastest-growing brands under Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn is a focused service hotel brand. It currently has more than 980 hotels in 58 countries and regions worldwide and is expected to exceed 1,000 by the end of 2023.

Adhering to global consistency in warm and stylish designs, enthusiastic and efficient service, and excellent experiences, Hilton Garden Inn said it provides guests with high-quality and cost-effective travel experiences.
