Mitsubishi Corp delegation explores Zibo's hydrogen sector

A delegation of seven members from Mitsubishi Corporation (Qingdao) Ltd, Mitsubishi Corporation (Shanghai) Ltd and Metal One (China) Corporation, visited Zibo city in East China's Shandong province on May 11.

Their visit was to explore Zibo's hydrogen industry and discuss potential commercial opportunities.

During the visit, the visitors met with representatives from local government agencies and companies involved in the hydrogen industry.

Mitsubishi Corporation Qingdao and the Shanghai branch gave presentations on their hydrogen business and briefings on their catalysts, pipelines, valves and other related products. The Zibo government agencies gave details on the city's hydrogen industry planning, policies and the construction and operation of hydrogen refueling stations.

Local hydrogen companies actively promoted their hydrogen-related businesses and products. Both parties engaged in extensive discussions regarding hydrogen production, hydrogen generation, hydrogen storage and transportation, as well as various applications scenarios.

The delegation also visited a hydrogen refueling station at the bus hub in the Zibo High Tech Zone, where its members gained a detailed understanding of its operation and management. They exchanged ideas and know-how about hydrogen fuel cell vehicle refueling technologies.

Mitsubishi Corporation is one of Japan's top groups, engaged in various sectors such as natural gas, integrated materials, petroleum and chemical solutions, metal resources, the food industry and consumer goods. It was ranked 41st in the Fortune Global 500 list for 2022.
