Two expat students at the Zibo Vocational Institute recently paid a visit to Fujia town – located in the Zibo Economic Development Zone in Zibo city, in East China's Shandong province – to experience top Chinese craftsmanship.
Students Murat from Russia and Justin from the Republic of Cameroon in Africa on March 26 got a hands-on lesson in mortise-and-tenon craftsmanship.
It's a unique architectural application in ancient China buildings and the visitors were reportedly fascinated by a luban lock, a Chinese puzzle featuring mortise and tenon joints.
