Editor's note: Yiyuan county in East China's Shandong province has created an Apple Industry Conference Room Complex project in the region's Xili town. Its "Yiyuan Red" apples orchard – which covers 300 mu (20 hectares) – is expected to produce 0.9 million kilograms of apples per year, boosting the income of local farmers to over 500,000 yuan ($68,470) collectively annually.
