Located in the middle of East China's Shandong province, with Mount Tai to its south and backing onto the Yellow River to the north, the city of Zibo is a cultural city – as well as being a great city for tourists.
It boasts numerous cultural and historical sites – such as the ruins of the ancient Qi state and the sacrificial horse pit from the Eastern Zhou Dynasty (770-256 BC) – and is known to be the place where soccer first originated.
It's also home to the romantic folktale of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl and Zhoucun, a century old commercial port town.
