Zibo art glaze and ceramic works are now attracting significant attention at the Boshan National Cultural Export Base exhibition area of the fourth China International Import Expo (CIIE), which is being held from Nov 5 to 10 in Shanghai.
A total of 12 enterprises from Zibo's Boshan district, including six colored glaze enterprises, four ceramics enterprises and two glass enterprises participated in the expo. They, along with 10 national ceramic and colored glaze artists, brought more than 200 exhibits of sculptures, paintings, ceramic carvings and colored glaze works, as well as ceramics and glass products for everyday use, to the expo.

Zibo, known as China's capital of ceramics, is a major ceramic production area and its products are used in industry and architecture, as well as for everyday items.
We hope to take better advantage of the high-end exchange platform of CIIE to showcase Boshan's brilliant colored glaze and ceramic art to the world, said Yang Lei, director of the Boshan district commerce bureau.
As CIIE provides a comprehensive platform for companies from around the world to strengthen business ties and trade amid the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, other Zibo enterprises are also getting involved in the event.
According to statistics from the municipal commerce bureau, a total of 430 Zibo enterprises and units have registered and 1,251 people from 271 enterprises and units have applied for procurement at this year's CIIE involving medical equipment and health products, intelligent industry and information technology, and food and agriculture products.
Moreover, a series of investment promotion events were held in Shanghai to attract more high-level investment to Zibo.
