The 2021 Cross-Straits Qi Culture Festival opened on Nov 2 in the Qi Heritage Museum located in Zibo, East China's Shandong province.

The cultural event integrated multiple online and offline channels with performances, exhibitions, and cultural discussions on cultural heritage to jointly promote cross-Straits economic and cultural exchanges and cooperation.

As part of the cultural event, around 68 illustrated boards showing Qi cultural elements such as Jixia Academy, considered to be the first universities in China; cuju, a sport played in ancient China that resembles modern football; and Jiang Taigong, a famous sage during the Shang Dynasty (16th century-11th century BC), were on display at the MRT Zhongxiao Fuxing Station in Taipei.

As the Shandong provincial cross-Straits cultural exchange base, the Qi Heritage Museum has long attached heavy importance to cultural exchange with Taiwan and given full play to its culture, contributing a lot to enhancing cross-Straits relations. In the future, it will continue to shoulder the responsibility of cross-Straits cultural exchange, innovation and cultural work to promote cross-Straits cultural exchange.
