The novel coronavirus virus is still spreading in many parts of the world and in addition to tracing its origins, it necessitates the need to continue to improve and refine COVID-19 responses, including vaccine rollouts.

The local authorities in Zibo city, located in East China's Shandong province, made announcements on July 14 emphasizing that "all vaccinations should be carried out" for locals aged 18 and above, except for those with contraindications.

It was ordered that all public areas in the city check both health codes and vaccination records before allowing people to enter.

These include government departments, residential areas, public transit stations, commercial areas, markets, hotels, museums and theaters – as well as scenic spots, medical institutions, nursing homes, schools and entertainment venues.

Nonvaccinated citizens are instructed to cooperate and follow staff instructions and register their personal information.
