Tai'an reports steady industrial growth in 2025
In 2025, Tai'an maintained its strategy of pursuing progress while ensuring stability, despite facing a complex domestic and international environment and macroeconomic cycles.
Data indicates that the value-added of industrial enterprises above the designated size in Tai'an increased 7.8 percent year-on-year, ranking fifth in the province for growth rate.
In major categories, the manufacturing sector's value-added increased by 9.4 percent in 2025, 1.6 percentage points above the average growth rate of all industries above the designated size.
Among the 37 major industrial sectors tracked citywide, 23 sectors maintained year-on-year growth, covering 62.2 percent. Notably, 15 sectors achieved rapid cumulative growth rates exceeding double digits.
The equipment manufacturing sector, vital for industrial progress, saw its value-added grow by 10.5 percent above the designated size, exceeding the overall industrial average by 2.7 percentage points.
Vital to people's livelihoods, consumer goods manufacturing achieved a 9.7 percent growth in value-added above the designated size. This was 1.9 percentage points above the overall industrial average, contributing 2.1 percentage points to the growth.
The private sector played a major role. In 2025, Tai'an had 1,460 private industrial enterprises above the designated size, making up 89.8 percent of all such enterprises.
The value-added of these private enterprises grew by 9.9 percent, contributing 7.4 percentage points to the overall industrial growth rate. Their value-added accounted for 75.6 percent of the total for all industries above the designated size, contributing a significant 94.2 percent to the overall industrial growth.
