The opening ceremony of the 2nd China International Cultural Tourism Expo was held in Jinan, capital of Shandong province, at the Shandong International Convention and Exhibition Center on Sept 16.

The expo is sponsored by the China Cultural Industry Association and the Shandong Cultural Industry Development Association. It is undertaken by the Shandong Tourism Industry Association.

The five-day expo fully demonstrates the charm of culture and tourism in Shandong, as well as attracts business and investment.

The total exhibition area of this expo spans about 100,000 square meters, covering 10 themed exhibitions like rural revitalization, as well as the Belt and Road. More than 500,000 masterpieces are showcased.

In the 600-square-meter "Handmade in Shandong" exhibition area, visitors can appreciate Zibo pottery, Linyi willow, and other handmade crafts unique to the province.

Visitors can try Russian vodka, as well as enjoy ice cream and other delicious food to experience culinary customs from abroad.

During this expo, the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated as well. Visitors can be able to enjoy cultural performances and intangible cultural heritage activities.

As a major focus of the expo, a series of special investment activities will also be held at the expo.
