Yue Zhendong is a skilled Chinese chef and food carving artist who has won numerous awards for his work.

With nothing more than a knife, Yue can transform a pumpkin into a "peacock" and a turnip into "Chinese rose". He can carve fruits and vegetables into magnificent works of art with exquisite craftsmanship.

In 2013, he stood out from among more than 20 million chefs across the country and was chosen to participate in the "Chinese cuisine enters the United Nations" event, during which he performed a unique Chinese cooking art for nearly 400 guests. He currently runs a workshop in Qingdao.

In Yue's opinion, food carving is worth promoting, inheriting and developing, so he set up a workshop to help more people learn about the craft.
