Short video competition to promote Shandong winter tourism

The Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism recently launched a short video competition to promote the province's winter tourism.

In partnership with the Shandong Radio and TV Station and video-sharing platform Douyin, the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism encourages netizens, online celebrities and media outlets to share video clips highlighting Shandong's winter tourism.

Shandong, a major province with a long history, rich culture and diverse tourism resources, has launched a campaign to promote its winter tourism. Nearly one hundred tourism routes are being promoted as a way for visitors to experience Shandong's diverse charms.

Study tours, skiing, cultural experiences, nature explorations, driving routes, urban sightseeing and other tourism products are available to visitors.

The short video competition is a creative way to attract more visitors, said local officials.

Participants can submit video clips no shorter than thirty seconds with relevant hashtags on Douyin, which has more than 600 million daily active users.

The organizing committee will select first, second and third prize winners based on the popularity and quality of the short videos. A total prize of 66,000 yuan ($10,051) will be given.
