As a representative invention of ancient Han people, sheepskin raft has long been an integral part of the Yellow River culture.
First made over 300 years ago, these rafts were initially used for transportation on Yellow River in Lanzhou. Now they take tourists on Yellow River trips, serving as a highlight of local travel.
From a distance, drafting rafts resemble small boats. But once on board, these rafts riding on the waves with five or six passengers provide a thrilling experience. Sheepskin raft is also a folk art heritage of Lanzhou.
