The first China Cultural and Tourism Expo will be held at the Shandong International Convention and Exhibition Center from Sept 16 to 21 in Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province.

The expo will feature 11 exhibition areas, including a Jinan exhibition zone that will display the city's traditional handcrafts, cultural innovations and tourism resources.

The achievements that Jinan has made in the construction of a civilized city will be showcased during the exhibition. Activities will also be held to help residents learn about these achievements.

Meanwhile, vendors in the zone will be selling Jinan cultural products such as paper art, handmade vintage paintings and crystal handicrafts. Visitors can learn more about Jinan's traditional culture through showcases of traditional folk intangible cultural heritages like gourd pyrography, dough modeling and black pottery.

Visitors can also view high tech projects, such as naked eye 3D televisions and intelligent service robots, that were developed by Jinan-based companies.

Foreign goods such as handmade leathers products, ceramics and ornaments can also be found at the Jinan exhibition area.

A series of tourism attractions will be promoted via live-action performances at exhibitions such as the World's Best Spring Scenic Area, Jinan Wild World and Jinan Fantawild Oriental Heritage.
