In early autumn, the 35,000 mu (about 2,333 hectares) of grapes in Dazeshan town, Qingdao's Pingdu city are entering harvest season. Farmers are busy picking away to supply markets in various regions, while the grape industry fuels the growing popularity of rural picking tours.

In recent years, Pingdu city has actively explored the development path of integrating the grape and tourism industries according to local conditions. It has become one of the more important areas for concentrated grape planting and trading in the north. Seizing the opportunity to create a demonstration area for rural vitalization, the local government has developed the grape industry through measures such as optimizing grape varieties, providing scientific planting guidance, establishing smart logistics for rural areas, and supporting homestays and local cuisine resources.

These efforts have increased local residents' income and contributed to rural vitalization. Currently, Dazeshan town has planted more than 300 grape varieties and pumps out 50,000 metric tons annually valued of approximately 800 million yuan ($112.83 million).
