Bilbao, located in northern coast of Spain, is the largest city and the economic, industrial and commercial hub of the Basque Autonomous Community. It is also the capital of Bizkaia province.
In 2004, Qingdao signed sister-city relationship agreement with Bilbao. Since then, the two cities have successfully collaborated in areas such as economy and trade, maritine events, and culture.
As the agreement enters it's 20th year, the two cities aim to strengthen their communication and collaboration ties, foster civil communication and begin a new chapter of friendly relations.
