With the Paris Olympics just around the corner, the Chinese Olympic Committee has called on its 716-strong delegation to compete with pride and integrity.

The Chinese sports delegation for the Paris Olympics includes 405 athletes - 136 male and 269 female. Fourteen of them are from Shandong's Qingdao, the highest number ever for the city in an overseas Olympics.

Since Zhang Juanjuan first won an Olympic gold medal for Qingdao at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Qingdao athletes have won six gold medals in four consecutive Olympic Games.

At this year's Paris Olympics, Chen Meng, who won two gold medals at the Tokyo Olympics, remains a top contender for the gold medal.
