In summer, the blueberries at a blueberry planting base in Jimo district of Qingdao, Shandong province, are being harvested, and local farmers are busy picking, sorting and shipping the fruit for markets around the country.

In recent years, Jinkou township of Jimo district has adopted the "base + farmer" model to guide farmers to develop more than 10 varieties of blueberry planting, and attracted many tourists to come to sightseeing and picking, helping farmers to increase their income and help rural vitalization.
