During this year's Dragon Boat Festival holiday, Qingdao organized 117 cultural activities such as intangible cultural heritage (ICH) exhibitions and dragon boat races, which have ignited a continuous fervor in the city's cultural and tourism market.

In order to pique visitors' interest in ICH and the rich cultural tapestry of Qingdao, the city's culture and tourism bureau launched a national media event launched in the Qingdao West Coast New Area on June 12.

The event focuses on the high-quality development of culture and tourism in Qingdao, delving into new forms of culture and tourism industries and exploring typical examples of the in-depth integration and development of ICH and tourism across the city.

As part of the event, more than 30 journalists from across the country are conducting interviews along the distinctive ICH routes in Qingdao. Through integrated media platforms, they take the audience on a journey to experience the city's rich and profound cultural deposits.

In recent years, Qingdao has actively explored new cultural and tourism formats through the integration of ICH. They have added 24 ICH practice bases, 154 ICH workshops, and 104 ICH centers, all of which have drawn more public attention to the rich and diverse intangible cultural heritage in daily life.
