Qingdao, South Jeolla jointly promote tourism industry

A cooperation and exchange meeting showcasing the characteristic products, culture, and tourism of Qingdao and South Jeolla province of South Korea commenced at the Dabaodao tourism and leisure block in Shibei district, Qingdao on May 25.
Participants collectively evaluated and exchanged views on the unique products of Qingdao and South Jeolla province.
During the meeting, two culture and tourism enterprises from Qingdao signed strategic cooperation agreements with the government of Goheung county in South Jeolla province. They engaged in in-depth discussions on bilateral tourism, corporate settlement, and foreign trade, aiming to jointly promote the international development of their respective tourism industries.
The Dabaodao tourism and leisure block preserves the cultural heritage and local aesthetic of Qingdao, offering dining, entertainment, and accommodation. The century-old block has recently been rejuvenated, blending tradition with modernity. At the same time, Goheung county in South Korea boasts a number of cultural landmarks, with a long coastline and abundant tourist attractions.
Both situated in coastal areas, Qingdao and Goheung county share similar geographies while possessing distinct local customs and cultural tourism features. Through their collaboration, both sides will jointly develop tourist attraction, strengthen market cooperation, and promote the cultural and leisure district of Dabaodao to South Korea, creating an international tourism brand.
