Qingdao spruced up for Spring Festival
As Spring Festival is just around the corner, commercial buildings, residential areas, and the streets and alleyways in Qingdao, Shandong province have all been decorated with lanterns and festoons, creating a dense festive atmosphere.
Spring Festival, or Chinese Lunar New Year, is the most important traditional Chinese festival for family reunions. It falls on Jan 22 this year.
An extravaganza of cultural and tourism activities will take place in Qingdao to celebrate the festival.
