The Qingdao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone has been ramping up efforts to boost the development of the advanced manufacturing industry as well as further accelerate industrial transformation and upgrading, local media reported.

"Qingdao high-tech zone attaches great importance to the development of the high-end equipment manufacturing industry, and related policies have given us a lot of support," said Shao Qing, general manager of LKC Hydraulic.

Since its establishment in Qingdao high-tech zone in 2006, LKC Hydraulic has been deeply engaged in the high-end equipment manufacturing sector, becoming a leading enterprise in the field of domestic hydraulic drive devices. It has been rated as a gazelle enterprise in Shandong province and a "little giant" enterprise by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

The Qingdao high-tech zone recently issued several policies for vitalizing the real economy and encouraging the high-quality development of the advanced manufacturing industry.

Local enterprises are encouraged to promote the application of industrial robots, and enterprises that purchase and use industrial robot products will be given rewards and subsidy funds.

Rewards will also be given to outstanding small- and medium-sized enterprises recognized by the provincial government and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

More support will be given to strengthen industry collaboration and technological cooperation between upstream and downstream enterprises, in a bid to establish strategic industrial chains with more resilience, innovation and a higher added value.
