The 2022 Marine Food and Ingredients Expo will be held in Qingdao, Shandong province in April.

The expo is designed to build a platform for the development and exchange of the marine food and ingredients industry and promote win-win cooperation among domestic and international enterprises.

There will be eight themed exhibition areas, covering marine food, imported marine food, seafood deep processing and seasoning, infant marine food, marine functional food, marine food materials, cold chain transportation equipment, and marine food machinery.

More than 300 exhibitors from home and abroad are expected to attend the expo via online and offline channels.

The 2022 China Marine Food Industry Development Conference will also be held during the expo, which will invite academicians, experts, scholars and entrepreneurs to discuss industrial development issues.

Marine organisms have unique nutritional value and contain a variety of active substances, which are becoming more and more important sources of marine products and medicine, said industry insiders, adding that marine food is recognized as an important guarantee of future food safety for mankind because of its safety, nutrition and health characteristics. The development of marine food has become an important food industry in China.
