Qingdao ranks ninth in sci-tech innovation competitiveness
The eastern coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province ranked ninth in sci-tech innovation competitiveness according to a report recently released by Beijing-based market research firm CCID Consulting.

According to the report, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Suzhou, Hangzhou and Wuhan were the top five cities in terms of sci-tech innovation competitiveness, while Nanjing, Hefei, Chengdu, and Ningbo also made the top 10.
CCID Consulting has set up an evaluation system for China's sci-tech innovation competitiveness, looking at four aspects: innovation input, innovation output, innovation environment and innovation potential.
It analyzed the scientific and technological innovation strength of domestic cities, aiming to comprehensively analyze the current scientific and technological innovation situation in China and summarize the experience of scientific and technological innovation development.
Qingdao has been promoting innovation-driven development and integrating science and technology with economic and social development in recent years.
