Qingdao launches city cultural IP
A novel promotional figurine or mascot called Mr Young was introduced on Jan 1 as a prototype of a well-managed young gentleman in the Shinan district of Qingdao, Shandong province.
Mr Young was designed as Qingdao's cultural IP to attract young people and promote the city as a vibrant fashion destination filled with different cultures.
Focusing on new industrial models of culture, tourism, sports, conventions and exhibitions, Qingdao has been working to build itself into an international fashion destination.
