In China, spurred by the nation's carbon goals, governments at different levels all exploring the hydrogen industry, which was mentioned in the country's 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25). More than 40 Chinese cities have introduced policies to promote the development of hydrogen energy.
Relying on its industrial foundation in new energy vehicles, petrochemicals, rail transit, port shipping, intelligent manufacturing and more, Qingdao is strengthening efforts to produce, store, transport and use hydrogen energy.
