Qingdao shares experiences in AI education promotion

Liu delivered a keynote speech on Qingdao's practices in promoting innovation in artificial intelligence education mechanisms at the conference, which was co-organized by the UNESCO and China's Ministry of Education to study emerging AI technologies and innovative practices in the use of AI in education.
In recent years, the Qingdao Municipal Education Bureau has established the "Smart Education Demonstration Area" of the Ministry of Education, which highlights AI technologies. The city has taken the lead in promoting the comprehensive popularization of basic AI education at the municipal level in China.

According to Liu, Qingdao is the first city in China to release the Artificial Intelligence Curriculum Guidance Outline for Primary and Secondary Schools, which comprehensively interprets the nature, objectives, structure, content, requirements, and implementation of the curriculum, and establishes an AI curriculum system that covers all levels from primary school to senior high school.
According to the acceptance ability and knowledge reserves of students of different ages, three kinds of artificial intelligence courses are being implemented in Qingdao.
The city also released the Artificial Intelligence Education Evaluation Program for Primary and Secondary School Students to improve teaching quality.
The city has been working to improve the quality and efficiency of AI education through system teacher training courses.
