A series of performances and intangible cultural heritage experiences were recently staged in the city of Qingdao in East China's Shandong province to celebrate the upcoming Lantern Festival, which falls on Feb 26 this year.

The Lantern Festival (or Yuan Xiao Festival in Chinese) is a traditional Chinese festival of great significance that falls on the 15th day of the first lunar month. The festival marks the end of the New Year celebrations.
