Japan-ROK Imports Expo held in Qingdao
The 2020 Japan-ROK (Qingdao) Imports Expo kicked off on Dec 10 in Chengyang district, Qingdao.
The three-day event is being jointly hosted by the Qingdao municipal government, Qingdao sub-council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Qingdao Chengyang district government.
The three-day exhibition has an area of 26,000 square meters and has been divided into three sections for Japanese and Korean importers, cross-border e-commerce and comprehensive exhibition.
More than ten thousand products are available at the event, including smart home product, food and agricultural products, skin care products, and more.
The event organizers have also invited social media influencers to host livestream sales and other promotional activities to attract more customers.
This is the third time that Chengyang district has hosted the expo, which coincides with the signing of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement and the beginning of a 10-year cooperative effort between China, Japan, and the ROK. The expo is expected to facilitate regional economic cooperation and explore new paths for China-Japan-ROK cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
