The signing ceremony for Qingdao Scientific Instrument Industrial Park was held in Shinan, Qingdao in East China's Shandong province on Nov 2.

The Qingdao Scientific Instrument Industrial Park will strive to become China's most high-end scientific instrument industry demonstration base by cultivating at least two listed companies within five years, achieving profits and tax revenue of 345 million yuan ($51.6 million), and achieving an annual output value of 15 billion yuan.

The park looks to construct a national characteristic industrial park, build a domestic first-class, internationally advanced scientific instruments and application of scientific research, detection and industry base, introduce high-end talent, develop industry breakthrough technology, implement a series of industry standards, gather a group of high-end scientific instruments, put together a team to carry out the industrialization of scientific research, and promote innovation, research and development among its enterprises.
