The 29th Qingdao International Beach Festival will open on Oct 11 in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province.

The event will be held at Qingdao No 1 Bathing Beach for six days, with a series of sports activities taking place, such as competitions in beach volleyball, swimming, martial arts, judo, tug-of-war, and boxing.

Concerts, a beach-style wedding ceremony, painting competitions, and other cultural activities will also be held.
