COSMOPlat, an industrial internet platform developed by China's largest home appliance maker Haier Group, has become one of the world's largest mass customization solution platforms that boasts 330 million users, according to the company.

"COSMOPlat is not only just machine replacement, equipment connection and transaction matching, but also an open multilateral interactive co-creation and sharing platform, which can realize cross-industry and cross-field collaboration," said Li Wenjun, general manager of Shandong Street Mobile Shop New Energy Technology Co (JEKEEN), an RV manufacturer.

Among COSMOPlat's users is JEKEEN. With the platform, JEKEEN took only six days to develop a smart temperature disinfection aisle amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The smart temperature disinfection aisle involves artificial intelligence, software development, machining, big data, electronics, medical and other fields, which we can all find suppliers and partners on COSMOPlat," said Li.

"During the epidemic, the rapid cross-industry and cross-field collaboration capability of COSMOPlat was brought into full play," said Guan Xiangzhen, a regional manager of COSMOPlat.

"Up to now, the platform has assisted more than 2,000 enterprises to transform into manufacturers of masks, protective clothing and other products urgently needed in epidemic prevention and control."

CosmoPlat is also playing an important role in large-scale customization of the manufacturing sector. It allows the industrial internet to engage in every step of the manufacturing process, from design to sales.

In addition to making Haier's own factories more flexible, the company said that the industrial internet system is empowering companies by bringing them closer to consumers and suppliers.

Data showed that the platform has attracted over 3.9 million registered enterprises covering electronics, textiles, equipment, construction, transportation and chemical engineering.
