Mission accomplished, Qingdao medics return from Hubei
Qingdao medical workers dispatched to combat the novel coronavirus in Hubei province returned to their hometown on March 31.
Wang Qingxian, Party secretary of Qingdao, Meng Fanli, mayor of Qingdao as well as other officials welcomed the group at Qingdao Liuting International Airport, which celebrated their return with a water arch salute.
Wang praised and expressed thanks to the medical workers for their bravery and hard work in the battle against the novel coronavirus over the past one and half months.
According to local authorities, this was the fifth and last group of Qingdao medics to return to the city. The group will undergo a 14-day quarantine at designated hotels.
