Jining ushers in 2026 with tourism boom
The three-day New Year holiday saw a tourism surge in Jining, with 22 monitored attractions receiving 453,700 visits and generating over 13.66 million yuan ($1.96 million) in revenue. With diverse offerings and strong festive energy, Jining's tourism sector has started the new year on a high note.

The city offered over 100 themed activities, ranging from ice-snow festivals at Nishan's Luyuan village and Weishan Lake to traditional cultural experiences at sites like the Temple and Cemetery of Confucius and the Kong Family Mansion.
Nighttime attractions also shone, including drone light shows along the Grand Canal historic memory block and festive celebrations at Jining's Glorious Oriental and Niulou town.
Additionally, major museums and cultural venues enriched the holiday with special exhibitions, such as the treasured artifacts display at Jining Museum and calligraphy exhibitions at Li Bai Memorial Hall. Interactive workshops and intangible cultural heritage activities further engaged visitors.
