Located in the southwest of Shandong province, Wenshang county has become a significant player in the clothing and footwear manufacturing industry in northern China.

Since 2021, foreign-funded enterprises have established factories in the county, making it the largest R&D, manufacturing, and sales base for Asics shoes in China and the largest R&D base for Skechers in Northern China. The annual production of these two brands in Wenshang has exceeded 6.2 million pairs of shoes.

The county is also known in China for manufacturing casual clothing, with output accounting for 1.3 percent of the national total, with over 400 million clothes produced each year.

The local industry has expanded its industry value chain from clothing to footwear. With the support of advanced management methods like TPM and ERP and the use of intelligent technologies, the county's manufacturing enterprises have improved production efficiency and quality.

Currently, the local textile and clothing industry boasts a relatively complete industry value chain, attracting more than 30 well-known domestic brand enterprises to invest and build factories.
