Nishan forum helps build literary and community of human destiny

Themed "Literature and the Community of Human Destiny", the Nishan Forum on World Literature, a key event of the ninth Nishan Forum on World Civilizations, was held at the foot of Nishan Mountain in Qufu, Shandong province, on Sept 26.
The forum fell under the guidance of the China Writers Association and was organized by the publicity department of Shandong, the foreign liaison department of the China Writers Association, the Shandong Writers Association and the Jining city government.
Li Jingze, vice-chairman of the China Writers Association, said: "Writers and literary workers in the new era should embrace human civilization with an open and inclusive attitude, learn from all the outstanding achievements of human civilization, and create more outstanding literary and artistic works that reflect the characteristics, spirit and style of the Chinese nation."
Xu Jian, president of the Chinese Reportage Association, called on contemporary cultural and Chinese literary workers to adapt to the new needs of the literary and artistic spirit and tell the story of China well.
Muhammad Yousuf Khushk, chairman of the Pakistan Academy of Letters, spoke about important human values such as tolerance, respect for diversity, peaceful coexistence, basic human rights and justice. He said that only by working together can countries promote common human values, overcome various global challenges and build a more prosperous, peaceful and healthy world for future generations.
Lyu Hong, president of the Chinese Literature & Art Association in America, introduced Chinese writers who have integrated their rich life experiences and cultural heritage and are seeking a common spiritual home at the intersection of Eastern and Western cultures.
