Sponsored by the Jining City Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the Jining City CPPCC (Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference) Cultural, Historical and Learning Committee, the "Power of Reading" celebrity sharing session kicked off at the Jining City Library on April 22.

Over 30 participants, including Party members, literature enthusiasts and young students attended the event, which featured renowned writer Yang Yitang.

The session began with students from Shandong Polytechnic College reciting excerpts from Qian Gu Jia Xun, which was written by Yang.

Yang then discussed his creative process and delved into the main content and highlights of the book. He emphasized the impact of Yan Family Instructions on traditional Chinese family education and encouraged attendees to learn from the teachings of sages and virtuous families.

Director of Jining City Library Ji Wenjie and Yang Yitang explored the importance of reading, with Ji expressing his hopes for increased library visits and knowledge acquisition through reading. The library has recently introduced various national reading initiatives for all levels of society to cater to the public's cultural needs.

Moving forward, the Jining City Library aims to improve reading service quality, guide reading trends, create a strong reading atmosphere and contribute to building an intense atmosphere for reading in Jining.
