First Chinese seal culture exhibition to kick off in Jining

The first Chinese Seal Culture Boutique Exhibition will be held at the Confucius Museum in Qufu, Jining, Shandong province from March 20 to 31. It will strive to build an exchange platform for China's seal culture, as well as to explore the historical connotation and value of seal culture in the new era.

With a theme of "Confirming Integrity and Sharing Civilization", the exhibition is co-hosted by the organizing committee of the Eighth Nishan Forum on World Civilizations and four top seal carving institutions, the Xiling Seal Engraver's Society, as well as the seal carving committees of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, the Chinese National Academy of Arts, and the China National Academy of Painting.

The event will focus on the foundation of trustworthiness, display the development of Chinese civilization, take seals as clues to highlight the cultural traditions of trustworthiness and integrity, enhance national self-confidence and pride, as well as reflect the profoundness of Chinese seal culture.

The event will be conducted in the form of keynote speeches and themed discussions, with scholars and experts like Chen Zhenlian, Wang Zhimin, and Luo Pengpeng invited to share their views on the historical connotation of seal culture.

It will set up exhibition areas, including the Chinese Seal in 3,000 Years and The Land of Faith, showcasing more than 200 rare cultural relics. The calligraphy works written by seven previous presidents of the Xiling Seal Engraver's Society will also be exhibited during the event.
