Jining invites people across globe to attend Confucius Memorial Ceremony
This year marks the 2,573rd anniversary of the birth of the great ancient Chinese philosopher Confucius.
Jining, Confucius' birth place, is inviting Confucius temples and Confucianism institutions from around the globe to participate in this year's online Confucius Memorial Ceremony.

The organizers plan to cooperate with domestic and overseas Confucius temples and Confucianism institutions to host a metaverse news conference and release a joint initiative for the memorial ceremony.
The on-site memorial ceremony will be broadcasted live via both the Shandong Satellite TV Station and chinakongzi.org.

A series of activities such as a livestreaming event at Confucius temples along the Yellow River, a short video collection themed "Confucius in my mind" and a Confucian classics reciting contest are also scheduled to be held.

The participation is free of charge. Organizations that would like to attend the event shall reply to the email address kongziwang2007@126.com before Sept 10.
