A total of 155 key projects with a combined investment of 65.92 billion yuan ($10.44 billion) started construction in Jining, East China's Shandong province on Feb 27, Jining News reported.

Among them was the Zhongsheng intelligent supply chain project, which has been recognized by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Finance as a national major project.

The modern logistic network project integrates plantations, central kitchens and supply chains to establish a green direct channel "from seed to table".

It will be able to process and transport 200,000 tons of food each year, feeding 300,000 people in a variety of areas such as community elderly care, businesses and organizations, airlines, railways, and expressway service regions after it is completed.

The first phase of the project is expected to be completed and put into use this year.

Other projects include 42 worth 16.99 billion yuan that support Shandong's "seven-network activity" – or the complete three-dimensional transportation, contemporary logistics, energy supply, public facility, modern water, new-type infrastructure, and rural infrastructure networks.

In addition, a total of 42.02 billion yuan will be invested in 96 industrial projects. Seventy-eight next-generation information technology, high-end equipment, new energy and new materials, intelligent ocean, medical treatment and healthcare, green chemical, contemporary high-efficiency agriculture, cultural creation, high-quality tourism, and modern finance projects are among them.
