Nishan Sacred Land in Qufu, a county-level city in Jining, Shandong province, was included on the first list of national nighttime culture and tourism consumption clusters, which was released by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on Oct 19.
In recent years, Jining has fully utilized its cultural and tourism resources to stimulate nighttime consumption. A series of nighttime touring programs, involving sightseeing, performances, and ancient culture experiences, have been produced, with the nighttime tour in Nishan Sacred Land being the most successful case.

Nishan Mountain is traditionally regarded as the birthplace of Confucius, the great thinker, educator, and founder of Confucianism. The scenic area has given full play to its Confucian culture to carry out a variety of cultural experience activities.
Modern technology, including unmanned drones and naked-eye 3D visual effects, have also been adopted, along with music, fountains, lights, and fireworks, creating a unique view of Nishan Mountain under the shroud of night.
From April to July, the nighttime touring program attracted more than 400,000 visitors, with the attendance rate for evening performances reaching 83 percent of the total capacity.
