An education institute themed around brain science and artificial intelligence (AI) for youths opened in Zoucheng, a county-level city in Jining, East China's Shandong province, on July 30. It is the first education institute of its kind in Jining.

Located in Shandong Apipi Education Technology Co, the institute focuses on the research and development of AI-related educational supplies and courses for students from kindergarten through high school. More than 50 groups of students aged between 3 and 15 have visited the center since its trial operation started.

The institute has signed cooperation agreements with many schools in urban and rural Jining, as well as Heze in Shandong, to provide courses on computer programming, robot programming, AI, as well as brain science. It is expected to help bolster the development of local AI education.

Established in March 2020, Apipi is a high-tech company that specializes in developing educational products, including hardware, software, and courses concerning big data, cloud computing, virtual reality, robotics, as well as other cutting-edge technologies.
