Jining in East China's Shandong province held the 2021 Youth E-commerce Innovation and Development Summit on May 19 in an effort to boost the development of the local e-commerce industry, as well as to enhance cooperation between different parties.
The summit, organized by the Jining Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League (CCYL), the city's bureau of commerce, and other government departments, attracted the participation of more than 200 business representatives, experts, scholars, as well as talented youths.
The Jining Youth E-commerce Alliance, which currently has over 100 member companies, was established at the summit. Ji Xiangju, the first elected president of the alliance and also director of Shandongli Internet Technology Co, said that the alliance will promote exchanges and cooperation between young entrepreneurs in Jining, as well as bring more opportunities to people engaged in e-commerce.
Since February this year, the Jining Municipal Committee of the CCYL has been making efforts to work with the city's e-commerce companies, financial institutions, logistics companies, and education institutions to form an industry alliance.
A number of activities, including forums, signing ceremonies, as well as industrial park visits will take place during the summit. Many renowned experts, including Li Zhengbo from the China International Electronic Commerce Center, will give keynote speeches at the forum.
An e-commerce project contest is also scheduled to be launched, with winners receiving financial support from the government.
In addition, Jining will sign cooperation agreements with local junior colleges and polytechnics to provide students with courses on live-streaming, product selection, management skills, as well as other topics related to e-commerce, with the aim of training more talents for the industry.
