Jining makes great progress in attracting investment
Jining in East China's Shandong province has had great success in its efforts to attract investment, with 60 major projects expected to start in the city.
A ceremony held on April 17 witnessed the signing of agreements for 60 major projects that are receiving a total of $429 million in foreign investment from companies located in the Yantze River Delta region. The projects included one valued at 5 billion yuan (about $770 million), as well as 25 projects worth between 1 and 5 billion yuan.
Most of the projects are involved in sectors that the city has focused on developing, such as information technology, new energy, new materials, high-end equipment, chemicals, and the medical industries.
A seminar on industrial development and talent attraction also took place in Shanghai to complement the signing ceremony.
