Jining in East China's Shandong province has made increased efforts to attract professional talents to help its high-tech companies clear technological bottlenecks, as well as to accelerate the city's high-qualify economic growth.

The Jining bureau of science and technology has developed an online service platform called “Yunguanjia” (cloud manager) to deal with local high-tech companies' demands for talents. Powered by the massive data of talents in universities and academic institutions across the country, the platform can be effective in helping companies recruit professionals for positions that they are looking to fill.

As of now, the platform has brought in more than 10 top talents, which have solved more than 20 technological problems for robot manufacturers in Zoucheng, a county-level city in Jining.

In addition, the bureau has also explored ways to facilitate cooperation between enterprises and research institutions to promote the application of the latest sci-tech breakthroughs in production.

With the help of the bureau, Jining Keli Photoelectronic Industrial Co and the Laser Institute of the Shandong Academy of Sciences have worked together to develop pulse laser radar, which is the core component of industrial robots.

The bureau also plans to reward a group of innovative teams and platforms in Jining for their contribution to the city's industrial development, said Ma Hongwei, deputy director of the bureau.
